Edith Lucille (Murphy) Lees

Edith Lucille Lees, 90, entered her eternal home May 7, 2022, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  She was born to Charlie Murphy and Bammer (Meinke) Murphy on February 15, 1932 in Boswell, Oklahoma.

She grew up in Boswell and graduated from the Boswell schools.  She received her nursing degree from the Mary Lee Leggs Nursing Academy in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.  Edith traveled extensively throughout the United States working as a nurse.  She and Kenneth Dickey were married October 19, 1999 in Muncie, Indiana.

Her entire life was about helping people.  She also loved her cats.  One of her past-times was watching the cooking shows on television.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Bammer Murphy; and her first husband, Sherman Albert Lees.  She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Dickey of the home; brother, Charles Anthony Murphy and wife Sonja of Killeen, Texas.

Edith will be laid to rest in the Greenhill Cemetery, Muskogee, Oklahoma.  A memorial service honoring her life will be held at a later date.  Friends my leave condolences on the Hunn Funeral Home website at: hunnfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Hunn Funeral Home and Cremation  Service.
