Doris Annette Boatright

Doris A. Boatright, 69, of Morris, Oklahoma passed away Friday, June 9, 2023.

She was born in Henryetta, Oklahoma on December 12, 1953, the daughter of Frank Lee and Ophialia Starr (Wallen) Boatright.

Doris attended Henryetta High School.  She furthered her education receiving several associate degrees from Oklahoma State University in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.  She served in the United States Army prior to her retirement and was a member of Holy Family Cathedral in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Survivors include her beloved dog, Slick; niece, Crystal Chapmon; son, Billy Ramsey; sisters, Dawna Chapmon, Metta (Roy) McGee and Floy Ray; brother, Clayton (Debra) Boatright; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Lance Boatright; sister, Sherral Counts and brother-in-law, Earl Chapmon.

Doris loved life and was free spirited.  She enjoyed making jewelry and being with her horses.  She especially cherished the time spent making memories with her family and friends. 

Honoring Doris’s request, cremation is planned.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, 1423 Cemetery Rd., Fort Gibson, Oklahoma 74434.  Interment of Doris's cremated remains will follow.
