Doris Darlene (Laughlin) Beaver

Doris Darlene Beaver, 89, of Checotah, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

She was born May 21, 1936, the daughter of Audie Leon Laughlin and Angeline Laughlin.

Doris worked as a seamstress for White Stag.  She also took on several tasks at Katy Café ranging from dishwasher to waiting tables.  She lavished in time spent with her family.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, hunting and fishing.  It didn’t matter what activities were planned she was right there joining in on all the fun.

Doris married Ronald Beaver on April 15, 1954, in Eufaula, Oklahoma.  He preceded her in death on December 25, 2023.

Survivors include her grandson, Joe Mike Beaver of Eufaula, Tim Davis, Greg Davis and Ron Beaver all of Broken Arrow; granddaughters, Charlotte Beaver of Checotah, Margaret Beaver of Broken Arrow and Toni Beaver of Eufaula; two great grandsons, Junior Beaver and Jeremy Beaver of Eufaula and several other great grandchildren, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Beaver; her parents, Audie and Angeline Laughlin and her children, Michael Vance Beaver, Kathy Davis and Gene Beaver.

Honoring Doris Cremation is planned.  Viewing and Visitation for Doris will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hunn Funeral Home & Cremation Service.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:.00 am, Monday, September 8, 2025 at Hunn Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 211 W. Okmulgee, Checotah, Oklahoma 74426.  Inurnment will take place at a later date.
