Dorene Nidiffer Obituary
Dorene P. Nidiffer, 90, of Muskogee died Tuesday, November 15, 2016. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2016, at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with the Reverend Cindy Culver officiating.
Dorene was born October 31, 1926, in Douthan, Oklahoma. She married John Felix Nidiffer in 1946. He died in 2005. The Nidiffers moved to Muskogee in 1966, to East Lake Hills at Vian in 1974, and back to Muskogee in 1997.
Dorene and John had three children, John Cody Nidiffer and his wife, Rita, of Muskogee; Nancy Craig and her husband, Dale, of Muskogee; and Julia Ann Atkinson and her husband, Bo, of Tulsa. There are seven grandchildren: Angie Wheeler (Tim), Shannon Adams (Kevin), Amy Tull (John), Jennifer Beshears (Chris), Amber Moore (Nick), John Paul Atkinson (Whitney), and Nick Atkinson; 14 great-grandchildren, Honey Yeatman (Kevin), Brooklyn and Ben Wheeler, Zach Adams (Angela) and Carleigh Adams, Ashlie, Bailey and Connor Tull, Caleb and Kendall Beshears, Keeley Shelor, Kensington and Kaia Moore, and Talon Atkinson; and one great-great-granddaughter, Amia Adams.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Dorene's name to the Helping Hands Ministry or Community Food Pantry, in care of First United Methodist Church, 600 E. Okmulgee Ave., Muskogee, OK 74403.
