Donald B Hall

Donald B. Hall, 82, of McAlester, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021, at his home. Don was born on September 24, 1938, in Allons, Tennessee, the son of Castol Buel and Ola Henryetta (Ledbetter) Hall.  He enlisted in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged.  On December 14, 1957, Don married Wilma Ruth Pollard at Arvin, California.  She preceded him in death on September 25, 2002.  Don worked for Byron Jackson as a machinist for several years.  He then worked as a truck driver  from 1979-1990 when he retired. He lived in several locations throughout his lifetime including:  Allons, TN, Arvin, CA, Natura, Glenpool, Del City and Canadian, OK.  Donald was a member of the Masonic Lodge.  He loved to garden, fish, raise chickens and cattle and just being outdoors.  He made the best pinto beans and chocolate cake.
Survivors include:  his son, Doug Hall and wife Jaime of Mustang, OK; daughter, Connie Lightner and husband Ed of Glenpool, OK; daughter-in-law, Tammy Hall of McAlester; 9 grandchildren, Alissa Poynor and husband Brek of Stoneham, MA, Kari VanHoose and husband Isaac of Georgetown, KY, Kaci Don Lightner of Fort Worth, TX, Jennifer Hall of Canadian, OK, Christopher Hall  and wife, Laura of Davenport, FL, Jake Hall of Oklahoma City, OK, Alex Hall and wife Elizabeth of Yukon, OK, Abbie Hall of Oklahoma City, OK and Cash Hall of Mustang, OK; great grandchildren, Oliver, Caroline and Elliot Poynor of Stoneham, MA, Eli, Elle and Anderson VanHoose of Georgetown, KY, Skylar Hall of Canadian, OK, Sam Hall of Oklahoma City, OK and Kaylee Hall of Yukon, OK; brothers, Lewis Hall, Rod Hall, Earl Hall and Bill Hall; sisters, Wanda Coffee, Reba Phipps, Rita Church and Vonda Reid.  He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Donald "Jeff" Hall, and siblings: Arnold Hall, Edith Odean Hall, and Pat Greenwood.
