Denver Wayne Degraffenreid

 Denver Wayne Degraffenreid, 71, of Checotah, Oklahoma, passed away on April 26, 2021.  He was born on August 15, 1949 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Elmer C. Degraffenreid and Juanita (Wolken) Heaslet.  Denver attended school in Eufaula and Onapa.  He served in Vietnam in 1968 and 1969.  He enjoyed spending time at  the Casino and tinkering around the house.  He loved his grandkids.  
      Denver was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Degraffenreid; his parents; three brothers, Earnest Sanders, Charles Degraffenreid, and Elmer "Red" Degraffenreid and one sister, Barbara Ann Stewart.  He is survived by his son, Shawn Duncan of Porum Landing; daughters, Crystal Degraffenreid of Checotah, and Brenda Degraffenreid of Checotah; brother, Johnny Degraffenreid of Moore, OK; sister, Betty Mae West of Arkansas; ten grandchildren, Kayla, Audrey, Chandler, Dakota, Desiree, Sierra, Grace, Jacob, Mason, and Lincoln; and eight great grandchildren, Madison, Zayne, Shane, Aiden, Kynadee, Carter, Kynden and Malachi.
      Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Hunn Funeral Home Chapel.  Inurnment will follow in Triplett Cemetery
