Cora Rebecca Lemley, 98, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Eastgate Village Retirement Center.
She was born September 24, 1926, in Henryette, Oklahoma, the daughter of Arthur Hall and Grace (Moulder) Breckenridge.
Cora was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Checotah and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. She had a passion for reading.
Cora married John Lawrence Lemley on April 16, 1945 in Checotah, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in April of 1996.
Survivors include her friend, Donna Moore of Checotah, Oklahoma; nephew, Gary Hall of Texas; sister-in-law, Rita Breckenridge; special daughters, Lisa Workman and Penny Thomson of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Kanyin Bode Harrison of Tulsa, Oklahoma and best friend and retirement center roommate, Wanda Holloway.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Hall and Grace Breckenridge; a daughter, Helen Lemley; her brothers, Freddie Hall of Grand Prairie, Texas and Everette Breckenridge of Penrose, Colorado and a sister, Hazel Griffin.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at First Free Will Baptist Church, 713 N. Broadway St., Checotah, Oklahoma 74426 with Pastor Mark Shores officiating.
Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Checotah.
