Cheryl Lynn Gebbie, 87, of Eufaula, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025.
She was born March 5, 1938, in Cushing, Oklahoma, the daughter of Robert Lauderdale and Sybil (Benge) Lauderdale.
Cheryl graduated from Cushing High School in 1956. She was active in cheerleading and was crowned Homecoming Queen. After graduation, she attended Cosmetology School and worked as a Beautician. She lived in Cushing, Oklahoma later moving to Omaha, Nebraska and settled in Eufaula, Oklahoma.
Cheryl married John B. Gebbie III on February 21, 1975, in Cushing, Oklahoma. They were happily married for 50 years.
Cheryl was a Christian. She was creative and cherished all the moments spent with her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, reading, painting and play time with her dog, Diesel.
Survivors include her husband, John Gebbie of the home; her son, Mark Bledsoe of Newfield, New York; her daughters, Kim Parker of Cushing, Oklahoma, Denise Thacker of Vilonia, Arkansas, Tracy Guion of Missouri City, Oklahoma, Kelly Oliver of Jacksboro, Texas and Becky Fuller of Wellston, Oklahoma; 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Her parents, Robert and Sybil Lauderdale, her stepdad, Ralph Crownover and a grandson, Kenny Thacker, preceded her in death.
Honoring Cheryl cremation is planned. A family conducted Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
