Charlie Lloyd Padgett

Charlie Lloyd Padget, age 69 of Checotah, OK, was born on Wednesday, September 5, 1956, in Bakersfield, California, the son of Doyle Lee Padgett and Wanda Lee (Walker) Padgett Yandell. He passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Lloyd was a strong man who did everything with honesty, integrity and a strong set of values. He was always there for family, friends and neighbors whenever they needed him.  In addition to these many fine traits he was also loving, caring and kind. As a son, brother, father, grandfather and friend.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Wanda.  He is survived by daughter, Candy Padgett of Checotah, OK, son Randy Padgett and daughter-in-law Tiffany of Beggs, OK; grandchildren Brittany Londagin and husband Jon of Haskell, OK; Brendan Padgett of Checotah, OK; Hannah Stice and husband Nate of Morris, OK; and Heidi Padgett of Norman, OK.  Two great-grandchildren; Cole Padgett and Keyonte Padgett. As well as five sisters, Doylene Heaton, of Moore, OK, OK, Faye Skeleton of Electra, TX, Mae Padgett of Chickasha, Lynn Powders of Henryetta, OK and Lee Yandell of Clayton, OK; two brothers, Ross Padgett of Henryetta, OK and Raymond Padgett of Henryetta, OK as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

He grew up on a farm in Oklahoma, became a farmer & rancher along with being a business owner, diesel mechanic, construction worker, he was a man who was a “Jack of all Trades”.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm with family greeting friends from 4:00-8:00 pm at Hunn Funeral Home, 211 West Okmulgee, Checotah, Oklahoma.

A funeral procession provided by the McIntosh County Sheriff's Department will be on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 3:00 pm from Hunn Funeral Home to the family home. Funeral Services are Friday, June 26, 2026, at 10:30 am at 110279 S. 4060 RD. Checotah, OK, with committal service at the family cemetery.
