Charles Napier Obituary
Charles (Chuck) Patrick Napier, 69 passed away Nov. 15,2016 at the VA Hospital in Oklahoma City after his battle with cancer.
He was born Sept. 15,1947 in New London, CT to Charles E Napier and Ida Downs.
He was able to see many places while traveling with his mother and siblings following his father's Navy career before joining the Navy himself in 1965.
He has been a member of the American Legion and VFW most of his life.
Chuck owned Chuck's Machine Shop in Muskogee before moving to Arizona. He moved back to Muskogee in 1991 where he met his soul mate and love of his life Lou Jacobs. They moved to Western Osage County where he worked for the Army Corp of Engineers for 23 yrs.on Kaw Lake before retiring in 2014.
He is survived by his wife Lou of Burbank, OK, his mother Ida Napier of VA, his brother Eugene Napier of Sioux Falls, SD, his daughter Melissa Mercer and husband Dan of Ponca City, OK, his son Christopher Napier of Florida, stepdaughters Joann Mocha of Muskogee, OK, Julie Peavler of Jasper, MO, his stepsons Dennis Coil of KY, and Edward Coil. He had one grandson Gabriel Walker and many step-grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Charles E Napier and Brother Carl Napier.
He touched the lives of everyone who knew him and will be greatly missed by all who loved his smile and kind soul. Memorial Service will be held at the National Cemetery in Ft Gibson, OK on Tuesday Nov. 29, 2016 at 2:00 PM.
