Bobby Lee Baker

 Bobby Lee Baker, 82, of Checotah, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022.  He was born on July 8, 1939, the son of Monroe and Ruby (Patterson) Baker in Checotah, where he lived most of his life.  He attended Shady Grove Schools.  Bobby met Judy Clark in Checotah and they were married on August 10, 1961.  He worked many years for Stark Bros. Nursery, retiring in 1990.  
      Bobby loved to garden and was always growing things.  He loved his family. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him much joy.  He enjoyed the simple life.
      He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Billy Joe Baker and Virgil Baker; and sisters, Lois McFall and Kathy Allen.  Bobby is survived by his wife, Judy Baker of the home; son, Robert Baker of Checotah; daughter, Kimberly Baker of Checotah; brother, Jacky Baker and his wife Debbie of Muskogee; sisters, Deana Whisenhunt of Checotah, Mary Brown and her husband Junior of Tulsa and Jean Jones and her husband Marion of Henryetta, Texas; grandchildren, Emery Wilbanks and her husband Nick of Checotah and Bronson Baker of Checotah; and great-grandchildren, Adien Wilbanks, Elee Wilbanks and Marlee Wilbanks.  
     Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2022 and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hunn Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Hunn Funeral Home Chapel with Chuck Tankersly officiating.  Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Jimmy Whisenhunt, Michael Whisenhunt, Ricky Baker, Nicky Baker, Stevie Tankersly and Bones Tankersly. Honorary pallbearers are Jeffery Whisenhunt, Kevin Baker, Randy Reeves, Robbie Tankersly and Nick Wilbanks.
