Betty Lee Lemons (Robuck/Kipe), 95, was called Home by her Lord Thursday, September 23rd, 2021 from Checotah, Oklahoma. She was born in Broken Bow, Oklahoma October 3rd, 1925 to James Thester and Lillie Mae (Davenport) Robuck.
She survived her childhood through the Great Depression, and lived her youth in the Temple, Texas area, staying with, her now only surviving sibling out of eight, Kathryn Martin, 98, of Garland, Texas. Betty lived her adult years married to Omar Keith Kipe in Lawton, Oklahoma where she witnessed the Korean and Vietnam Wars through the eyes of an Army wife. They raised three children: Michael Keith Kipe, David Franklin Kipe and Anita Kipe Edwards to believe the Word, love the country, work hard, and live true.
Betty was a long-time, devoted member of Jefferson Baptist Church, Lawton. She lived in Hagerstown, Maryland from 2008 to 2019 when she relocated back to Oklahoma. She had seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She loved her family, was gentle and kind, and enjoyed sitting outside in the fresh air and sunshine. She loved to go fishing, worked puzzles, read her Bible and embroidered.
Betty Lee will be laid to rest by her children and grandchildren in her favorite flower bed at home. The flower bed will be forever referred to as "The Angel Garden."
