Betty June Cooper Hart was born July 6th, 1949 in Webb City, Missouri. She passed away surrounded by loved ones on May 26, 2023. She is survived by her husband Gus Hart, son Ken Fry and wife Robin, daughter Kim Cousins and husband Rob, daughter Kelli Fry, son Kody Fry and wife Victoria, and son Eric Jamison; granddaughters Kayla Hance and husband Lucas, Sydney Cousins, Maya Cousins, Emily Bailey and Sophia Fry; grandsons Seth Fry, Dylan Cousins and Ethan Fry; great grandchildren Parker Hance and Evie Hance; siblings Carrol Bell and husband Gary, Joe Cooper and wife Kim, Jeff Cooper and wife Glenda and Sandy McNett and husband Randy, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Betty Cooper, brother John Cooper and sister-in- law Barbara Cooper, sister Diane Wyrick and granddaughter Lauryn Cousins.
Betty retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield after over 35 years of service. Betty was a wonderful seamstress and also very creative. She was always crafting something whether it be holiday décor, dolls/costumes, or corn heaters. Betty was a wonderful cook and was always at church or family functions with her famous brownies. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and loved to play Bunco. In her younger years, she loved to camp and spend time at the lake. Betty loved spending time with her kids, grandkids and extended family. She was one of the sweetest ladies you could ever meet. She was a very giving individual who was always willing to help those who needed it most. Everyone she met instantly fell in love with her infectious smile and sweet nature. She was loved dearly and will be greatly mourned by all who knew her.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 1, 2023 at South Lakewood Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Pevehouse officiating.
