Ace Wyatt, 73, of Checotah, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022 at OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on September 2, 1948, in Porum, Oklahoma, the son of Melvin and Ola (Hammons) Wyatt. Ace grew up in Checotah where he attended school, graduating from Checotah High School in 1968. He entered the U.S. Army in 1970 and served in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1972, Ace loved his family and was a huge OU fan.
Ace was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Ruth Ann Wyatt, Charlie Wyatt, Ruby Wyatt, Edd Wyatt, John Wyatt and Kathryn Wyatt. He is survived by his son, Justin Wyatt (Andrea) of Checotah; daughter, Stacy Coleman of Checotah; brother, Joe Wyatt (Nancy) of Sarasota, FL; sisters, Maxine McKay (Ed) of Broken Arrow, Margaret Wyatt of Broken Arrow and Cora Foreman of Checotah; grandchildren, Colton Wyatt, Roddy Wyatt, Josh Coleman, Jay Coleman and Mason Coleman; five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and very close friend, Linda Lawson.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Hunn Funeral Home in Checotah. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, at Hunn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in McLain Cemetery in Warner. Pallbearers will be Dean Taylor, Robert LaFavor, Colton Wyatt, Josh Coleman, Jay Coleman and Mason Coleman.
